Life Lessons Learned
from the Barnyard
by
B. Dear
- You
will always be dependent on others for your food, water, shelter as
long as you are inside the fence line.
- Revenge
is best served at 3am when the farmer is sleeping.
- If
you’re loud, annoying, and pushy you get fed first.
- Other
animals in the pen will try to hurt you. All the time. Sometimes
because they want your food. Sometimes, just because they feel like it.
- It
is better to be a horse than a chicken.
- Everyone
in the pen is your friend when it gets really cold outside.
- Rotten
stuff produces a lot of heat.
- The
other animals have needs too. They’ll let you know what they
are when they deny you of yours.
- All
hens look pretty good to a rooster.
- Be
careful with your eggs or you'll lose them.
